If you don't want to go insane, you need to get the lead out. People talk too much and put the boots on not enough. Stay safe in the cut, and never put the work in. Fight the mirror every single day. Victimized by their only brain. But nouns alone won't a story make. You need to put some verbs in. People think themselves sick, cause they don't stay on top of it. It gets dark in the pit and hard to see the way out. They keep excuses in a rolodex for why they don't feel well. They lock themselves in a cell and can't break out, but let me tell you. If you'd like to join the fold, leave your pain out in the cold and be favored by the bold- turn your brain off; take control of your life- come to our side. People talk too much. Just get your heart rate up. You've got to feel it in your gut. You've got to give it up. But baby...I don't want to. Jim Jones : I saved them but I made my example. Chris Holmes: Well, cause it’s the only thing that- that let’s me get free. Little Jake: As you can see, I’m using it as a bookshelf. Some day I’m just gonna lose it. I’m gonna snap in a spectacular way. Cuz it’s been building up my whole life and eventually the dam’s gonna break. I didn’t ask to be born and now I’m filled up with scorn and deep contempt for the whole human race and if nature isn’t what kills me it probably will be the hate. Deep, burning hate. Lately I’ve been on a rampage. My brain’s been fighting me at every turn. A thin black veil shrouds my vision and all I want is to be deep in the earth. God must take me for a dick if he thinks I’m gonna sit by and watch everything I love die and burn. Forgot all my coping skills and I don’t have the will to relearn and fuck your concern. If I ever could believe I would be reincarnated I would push the button now and call this whole thing a wash but since I only get one and for now mine ain’t done I guess I’ll swallow all my pain and chug along but I swear to jesus! Finally got all of the ducks in row. Got our shelter up to snuff. Now we can breathe. Then they served us up a “Fuck you” note. Larynx sinks into my guts in disbelief. We’re moving. We’ve got the moves. The music we cannot refuse. Once again we’re up against the ropes and the path ahead is tough, but in my dreams I could take you to Rome, Tokyo or Eastern Kokomo. Damn the price let’s go anywhere that we can. Take my hand and let’s go. Shame that we’re broke because you deserve the world. Just thought you should know. Josh Neff (Matt Keeslar): Disco will never be over. Something like this, that was this big and this important and this great will never die. Those who didn’t understand will never understand. Down in the bunker we’ve got everything that we could need. We’ve got eachother. But if you weren’t here with me, I would be struggling. I would be shaking like a leaf in the wind. Lord, I would be suffering. All of the panic would be setting in. Who know what tomorrow brings? We haven’t a clue. The bodies are stacking up, blocking our exit route but things could be worse than being stuck here with you. Though I do hope it takes a little turn for the better, at least we get to watch it burn together. We do. When we’re hunkered down in the bunker, just me and you. Who know what tomorrow brings? Though sometimes the dread can overtake me, all I feel is safety when I’m with my baby. So I do hope it takes a little turn for the better, but at least we get to watch it burn together. We do.
